Summary

Grandmentor Volunteers are 35+ with a vast amount of life skills and experiences behind them which can be passed on to young care leavers aged 16-25.

Detailed description

Grandmentor Volunteers are 35+ with a vast amount of life skills and experiences behind them which can be pass on to young care leavers aged 16-25 who are leaving, or have left, the care system, and now require support to transition into adulthood. 


Grandmentors support young people by helping them to job search, work on their CV, write application forms, find work experience or try out new activities. 


Grandmentors and looking for more people to get involved in Warwickshire, Coventry and Birmingham area. You will meet the young person for 1-2 hours every week for 6-12 months. This will provide them with consistency and help to build rapport as well as their self-esteem. 


This role would be suitable for anyone who has a lot of skills and experience to give to a young person, are friendly, approachable, is a good listener is observant and empathetic.
