Summary
A fortnightly singing group for people living with dementia and their carersDetailed description
Singing has been proven to help people living with dementia to unlock memories and re-establish cognitive pathways. Our sessions are led by specially trained musicians, bringing people together in a fun, friendly and safe environment. We begin with relaxed refreshments followed by light-hearted warm-ups, activity songs and a wide variety of familiar tunes. The sessions are open to anyone living with dementia or other neurological condition but participants need to be accompanied by a carer. The sessions are free to attend but donations are welcome. Suggested donation £5 per week or whatever you can afford. Carers go free.
