Summary

To support the setting up and collecting trail cameras at our survey sites, to enable delivery of the National Hedgehog Monitoring programme in Warwickshire.

Detailed description

Purpose of your role:

To support and assist with the setting up and collecting of the trail cameras at our survey sites, helping to support the delivery of the National Hedgehog Monitoring Programme in Warwickshire.


Tasks you will be involved with: 

• Working within different environments, e.g: farm, woodland and urban. 

• Setting up and collecting of trail cameras across 5 sites in Warwickshire, Coventry, and Solihull during our 

survey season of April to October.


Skills and abilities required: 

• Own access to transport, traveling to sites across Warwickshire.

• Ability to work outside for a whole day, some remote site locations with few facilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

• Good communication and team working skills with a willingness to learn.


You will be based at:

We require a volunteer to collect the camera kit from Brandon Marsh, CV3 3GW for each site deployment. (Deployment and return collection of camera kit). We have survey sites at Brandon, Kenilworth, Knowle, Leamington Spa and Wellesbourne.

 

Days and time we would like you to be available: Our 5 sites will be surveyed, each site requires a day of set up and collection, with the exception of Leamington Spa, this site requires multiple days. Approximately, 2-4 days a month between April and October, usually weekends and the schedule of dates will be sent out in advance. You 

will not be expected to be available for every site.
