Improving Lives is for anyone aged 18 years who wants to know more about volunteering opportunities in Coventry, and have a go at some volunteering activities to increase their confidence and well-being.
The Improving Lives course consists of 8 structured sessions of engaging activities, discussions, visits and support that take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10.30am to 12.30pm for 4 weeks.
The course aim is to support participants to focus on their futures and realise their potential, improving confidence in their own skills and abilities and what they have to offer. We support participants to learn about and practice elements necessary for finding, applying for and securing volunteer roles.
The course includes in-house workshops containing small group work, discussion and information-giving. We will also be making 4 external visits to organisations who are seeking volunteers to enable you meet the volunteering officer, understand what the organisation does and what volunteer roles are available.
Places are limited to ensure everyone receives personalised recommendations or support. If we can make it easier for you to take part, please let us know your requirements!
