Detailed description

Would you like to help support your local community through our Social Supermarket or Food Bank? If you're organised, friendly, and have a non-judgemental approach to communication, we would love to hear from you!

 

Our food support role focuses on assisting families in need by providing essential food items in a welcoming setting. This is a dynamic role where you’ll meet a wide range of people and experience the fast pace of a busy working environment.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Receiving and organising deliveries.
  • Setting up and managing our Social Supermarket.
  • Checking dates and rotating stock to ensure food safety.
  • Picking and packing grocery bags and handing out food parcels.
  • Communicating with people to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.


We’re looking for someone friendly and approachable, with a strong commitment to helping others. If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, please apply! You'll be working under the guidance of our Food Coordinator, so don't worry if you don’t meet every requirement - we provide all the training you need.

Getting there

The venue is easily accessible by public transport. Take the number 15 bus from Coventry City Centre to Jubilee Crescent. The bus stop is located in the Burges, across from McDonald's. Once you arrive at Jubilee Crescent, the church is just a short walk from the bus stop.
