Summary

Do you have a passion for cooking and love interacting with people? Then our kitchen role may be the perfect opportunity for you!

Detailed description

The key responsibilities in this role include serving breakfast, making cups of tea and coffee, cutting vegetables, cooking and serving lunch, washing up and cleaning our kitchen area.


Our breakfast is a buffet style breakfast where people help themselves, but you will need to be on hand to inform people of the different breakfast options and make sure that the buffet remains filled up. You will also be responsible for making cups of tea and coffee and serving these to customers within our café area.


Additionally, you will be required to prepare and cook lunch. This will involve preparing vegetables and cooking a tasty lunch. You will be given food which has been donated and asked to cook any dish of your choice, so you can get creative!


All of our meals are vegetarian so you won’t need to worry about handling any meat, this is so that all of our meals can be inclusive of people with different dietary requirements.


Lastly you will be expected to wash up all the plates, cups and cutlery and make sure they are all clean and put away. You will also be required to clean our café area, this involves sweeping and mopping the floors, cleaning down all surfaces and tidying everything away.


You will need to be a friendly and approachable individual that can interact with people from all different walks of life!

Getting there

The venue is easily accessible by public transport. Take the number 15 bus from Coventry City Centre to Jubilee Crescent. The bus stop is located in the Burges, across from McDonald's. Once you arrive at Jubilee Crescent, the church is just a short walk from the bus stop.
