Detailed description

The PR & Events Coordinator will enhance RE(YOU)S’ public image, increase awareness, and ensure successful event execution. This role involves media relations, event coordination, and community engagement to strengthen RE(YOU)S’ presence and impact.


Key Responsibilities

Public Relations & Media Engagement

  • Develop Press Releases & Media Content: Craft compelling press releases, news articles, and media kits.
  • Build Relationships with Media Contacts: Engage with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure media coverage.
  • Monitor Media Coverage: Track and report on media mentions and public engagement.

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in Event Planning: Support the development and execution of RE(YOU)S events, including logistics and schedules.
  • Coordinate Event Promotion: Work with the marketing team to create event marketing materials and outreach strategies.
  • Manage Event Logistics: Ensure smooth operations, including vendor coordination, volunteer support, and attendee experience.

Community Engagement & Outreach

  • Foster Partnerships: Work with businesses and organisations to establish sponsorships and collaborative opportunities.
  • Engage the Community: Promote RE(YOU)S’ initiatives and encourage community participation.
  • Distribute Promotional Materials: Ensure event information reaches the right audiences through flyers, social media, and email campaigns.

Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor PR & Event Success: Track engagement metrics, attendance, and media impressions.
  • Compile Reports: Provide post-event and PR performance summaries with recommendations for future improvements.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong Communication & Writing Skills: Ability to create compelling press materials and promotional content.
  • Experience in PR, Media, or Event Coordination: Previous experience is a plus but not required.
  • Organizational & Project Management Skills: Ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
  • Creativity & Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop engaging public relations strategies and events.
  • Passion for Community Engagement: Enthusiasm for working with people and promoting social impact initiatives.
