Summary

We are looking for volunteers to help set up a volunteer-led group on Fridays

Detailed description

We are looking for volunteers to help set up a volunteer-led group on Fridays at our Women’s Hub. The group will have a relaxed feel with weekly activities such as mindfulness colouring or craft and will be shaped by the women Kairos support. The aim of this group is to support women to move forward in their journey and the sessions will vary depending on what the women need and where they are at. For example, there may be sessions on money management, confidence building or recognising signs of abuse. There may also be weeks where the women wish to just sit and chat together. All group materials, training and content will be given to you in advance by the Volunteer Manager. As part of this role, you will be expected to be on a rota with other volunteers to prepare and cook a simple hot meal for the women.

The Power Of You will take place every Friday, 11am-2pm. We are looking for volunteers to attend on a rota basis, two Fridays per month, 10.30am-2.30pm. This role also requires sharing the food shopping with other volunteers. Mandatory Level 2 Health and Safety Training is required for this role, all training is provided as part of the induction process.
