Summary
Impact Samba drumming group will be leading a procession of students and the wider community who have created lanterns to celebrate diversity.Detailed description
Warwick University will be celebrating diversity of it's student body, by the students creating lanterns which will be showcased by a walking procession.
About Impact Steel Band
Impact Steel Band offers a variety of musical offerings -
Live Caribbean music performances.
Teaching sessions.
Corporate and Educational World music workshops in the following genres:
Brazilian Samba drumming
West African Djembe drumming
Northern Indian Dhol drumming
And of course, Caribbean Steelpan drumming.
All our workshop facilitators are DBS certified.
Regularly attend safeguarding training.
And have public liability insurance.
Our organisation's leader, Fareed Siddiqui has been performing for over 40 years.
Both locally, nationally and internationally.
Having won numerous awards as an international artist.
Regularly performing in the Caribbean, USA, Canada and Europe.
Fareed has been delivering world music workshops for over 20 years.
Fareed has performed for the likes of King Charles, Queen Elizabeth, Desmond Tutu, Formula 1 Silverstone, St Paul's cathedral...to name but a few names and places.
