If you are a black elder struggling with energy bills, join us for help around energy efficiency and household bills

Detailed description

Are you over 60? Do you feel you have been left out in the cold and confused on where to go to get good sound advice on your fuel bills and energy efficient products? Do you want to make sure your home is snug as a bug, this winter without costing you an arm and a leg then look no further!

Hope In Unity have invited Act On Energy to come along and provide expert advice on how to stay warm, lower your bills and keep your home running more cost effective as we go through the Winter months ahead.

Getting there

Buses leave from Pool Meadow Bus Station frequently. Number 9 to University Hospital or Number 8 to Walsgrave from the same bus stand. Get off at The Pippin bus stop, cross over the road at the pedestrian crossing staying on Ansty Road, walk in the same direction as the bus you came off. It will take less than 4 minutes to reach United Reformed Church 210, Ansty Rd. The church sits on the corner and well signed

About Hope In Unity

Hope In Unity provides a service to black elders 60 plus who are lonely, isolated, vulnerable and those diagnosed with the early stages of Dementia (but not exclusive to those facing these situations). We provide a variety of crafting and non-crafting activities to stimulate and move you, ranging from mosaic design, candle making, flower arranging, weaving, card making, dominos, board games, day outings, holidays, knitting and crocheting, social groups, guest speakers, gentle chair based exercises and Yoga.
