Summary

Helping to ensure the stay and play session and donations give away goes smoothly on a Friday morning. There are a few different roles involved.

Detailed description

We want to ensure that people that come to receive donations or to attend the stay and play, feel welcomed and valued. We want to help people practically, build community and empower them.

You can make a difference to someone by smiling and listening to them, by making them a drink and ensuring the play area is safe, by giving out donations or by helping at the admin desk.

You are welcome to have different roes on different weeks, or find the role where you feel most comfortable and do that weekly.

You will meet new people and become part of the GrowKIds family. We are a friendly bunch from many different backgrounds with different struggles. We seek to value and encourage each other. We have termly training sessions.

Getting there

Foleshill Community Centre is on a bus route. It is near the blue ribbon roundabout, on the opposite side of the road from Lidlls and a little further down. GrowKids is based in the sports hall at the back of the building.

About GrowKids Coventry/ Coventry Vineyard

GrowKids is a project run by Coventry Vineyard Church. At GrowKids we recycle nearly-new clothes, toys and equipment to help families in need with Children under 11.
This is regardless of income, background or faith; no referral is needed (for most items), and all items are free!
We want to build community and relationships to support young families as well as providing them with clothes and equipment. We also want to empower those we help by asking them to be part of the solution, so we ask them to recycle their under 11's kit with us when it is no longer needed.
