Looking for a volunteer to help coordinate and create fundraising activities for the organisation, as well as help with grant proposals for fundingDetailed description
We are looking for a volunteer to help us fundraise. We are looking for someone to create ideas, develop strategy and execute as we try to raise funds for our organisation and help us keep running.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and research potential grant opportunities and funding sources.
- Prepare, write and submit grant applications and proposals.
- Administer a donor and funding database
- Collaborate with the Core Team to ensure effective communication and coordination of fundraising efforts.
- Report to the Core Team
Requirements:
- Strong research, organisation/planning and writing skills.
- Be willing to find out about local and national grant organisations.
- Experience of writing successful funding bids and submitting them to relevant grant making bodies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or a related field is desired but not essential.
- Knowledge of charity accounting procedures and rules.

We started in 2022, aiming to regenerate Ball Hill and build a sense of pride and community through collaboration, sharing, listening.
At our beginning we set some goals and interests that began shaping our purpose:
making our area a cleaner, easier space to use, including a monthly litter pick
engaging with business leaders and landlords to link in the business community
representing issues from the community to local officials
agreeing good projects to improve the area, such as green spaces, transport plans, and pollution monitoring
building a creative group to add a visible energy and output to our efforts, and give the area a creative identity
