Summary

We hold our Community Hub, every Wednesday, and looking for people to come and help us run sessions and help people who drop-in.

Detailed description

We are looking for people to help support with setting up, closing down, looking after activity tables and supporting our Community Hub leads with tasks during the day.

When you arrive, you will be assigned a task and guidance on what to do. If you are able to support with setting up and closing down, we would require you to arrive/leave earlier/later than the stated time. We will advise of the arrival or departure time, when you reach out to us.

If you have any teachable skills or speak any other languages, we would love to hear from you too!

Getting there

The entrance is a gate between the Beef Belly takeaway and Cake Box. Follow around and you will see the 2-Tone Cafe on your right-hand side.

About Destination Ball Hill

Our community group for everyone who works, lives or plays in Ball Hill and wants to make our area a better, cleaner and more social place.

We started in 2022, aiming to regenerate Ball Hill and build a sense of pride and community through collaboration, sharing, listening.

At our beginning we set some goals and interests that began shaping our purpose:

making our area a cleaner, easier space to use, including a monthly litter pick

engaging with business leaders and landlords to link in the business community

representing issues from the community to local officials

agreeing good projects to improve the area, such as green spaces, transport plans, and pollution monitoring

building a creative group to add a visible energy and output to our efforts, and give the area a creative identity
