Summary

We are looking for volunteers to join us every Tuesday night to inspire young people to achieve their potential through challenge and nautical adventure.

Detailed description

Coventry Sea Cadets are not a pre-service organisation, although many of our members do go on to careers at sea, and you don't need to know anything about the Royal Navy to volunteer with us.

We offer activities like sailing, rowing, engineering, windsurfing, catering, meteorology and sports to young people aged 10-18, and to continue to offer the best experience to the young people of Coventry, we need adult volunteers to help supervise and teach.

We will provide you with all the training you need, and can even offer nationally recognised qualifications in things like first aid, watersports, or leadership and management. All we ask of you is your enthusiasm and a willingness to see Coventry kids become the best versions of themselves.

You can choose to join us in a uniformed or un-uniformed role, regardless your background, nationality or gender, and we are happy to discuss flexible volunteering to suit your work or family life.

About Coventry Sea Cadets

At Coventry Sea Cadets we aim to give young people from 10-18 an experience that will help them grow into the person they want to be in a safe and friendly environment. Through various activities and adventures, we learn teamwork, respect, loyalty, self-confidence, commitment, self-discipline, honesty and how to be the best version of ourselves.

We offer a range of different activities from sailing, windsurfing and powerboating - to rock climbing, camping, and music, all delivered by volunteers like you. We offer training in everything we do, so you can gain nationally recognised qualifications and pass on your knowledge to our young people.
