About Carriers of Hope
Our organisation supports Refugees, Asylum Seekers and other Migrants in Coventry.
We offer practical support to our clients by supplying vital necessities, ranging from food and nappies to pushchairs, toys, books, kitchenware and furniture. We repurpose high-quality donations from our local community, ensuring that individuals have access to everything they need to build their new lives in Coventry and reduce waste in our city too.
We foster a welcoming community for newcomers to the city, ensuring that no one faces the challenges of adjusting to a new place, language, and culture alone. By volunteering with us, our clients gain valuable opportunities to improve their English, develop new skills, deepen their understanding of their adopted home, and increase their chances of employment.
We work with partner organisations and agencies across the city to ensure our isolated clients can access all of the services available to ensure a happy and healthy future, from helping an individual understand the NHS App and make vital medical appointments, to linking them with legal experts and employment services, to enrolling them on budgeting courses, our aim is to ensure that everyone is empowered to live a positive, independent life.
Our work is made possible by the support and dedication of our diverse volunteer team, which includes local people, current and former clients, students, corporate teams, community groups, and professionals.
Whoever you are, we believe you can bring something truly special and important to Carriers of Hope. We offer both regular and one-off volunteering opportunities across all projects, providing full training, chances to improve your English or enhance your skills, and, most importantly, an opportunity to join a vibrant and welcoming community.
