Summary
We are looking for volunteers who can work with us to set up a new social enterprise in the city, to recycle, repair & re-purpose donated bicyclesDetailed description
Over the last few months, we have identified a need in the city in areas including Foleshill and Hillfields for residents to be able to access and/or purchase bikes that have been re-cycled or repaired at an affordable price. We want to build on and add to existing provision in the City to enhance current services, working with partner organisations to develop:
- the capacity in Coventry to repair and refurbish bikes
- the supply of donated bikes from the general public
- the offer of bikes free of charge to those on a low or nil income
- and run bike mechanic sessions
- and provide a low-cost form of transport
