Support refugees and migrants in growing local businesses through advice, training, and guidance via coaching, group sessions, and community engagement.

Detailed description

To offer business, self-employed and enterprise information, advice and guidance to refugees, migrants, and local community via face to face and group sessions.


At ACH, we support refugees and migrants in establishing and growing sustainable businesses by delivering expert guidance on business development, financial planning, marketing, and digital skills. This role involves working with aspiring and existing entrepreneurs to enhance their business knowledge, access resources, and build strong local enterprises.


Key Responsibilities

 

  • To assist with working with individuals who are seeking self-employment advice, and/or looking to start their own business.
  • To assist in offering entrepreneurship workshops to clients.
  • To assist the Enterprise Facilitator to conduct research on self-employment general business research, to meet the needs of clients.
  • To conduct business analysis on client businesses, including self-employment sector research, as well as to provide recommendations on business problem solving.
  • To assist in creating business support materials, guides and resources for client base.
  • Support with project compliance and admin tasks.



Qualifications


·      Having completed or completing a degree with modules relating to Business Administration, business analysis, Research, or Migration

·      Basic knowledge of enterprise advice and guidance.

·      Experience of offering advice and guidance in a previous role. Experience can include in a coaching, mentoring or advisory capacity.

·      Experience in managing or assisting projects, whether through academic coursework, extracurricular activities, or previous employment.

·      Knowledge around business consulting. for self-employment (pre-start, start-up and established businesses).

·      Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to work across different cultures and communities.

·      Ability to maintain accurate records and manage a caseload of clients.

·      Confident Microsoft skills – Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

·      Commitment to empowering refugees, providing advocacy and culturally sensitive support.
